I’m then going to build a model for a reversible belt buckle for 3D printing.
A couple of years ago I found a fantastic leather shop in Edinburgh where they hand made some beautiful products. I wanted a really good quality belt, but it was so expensive I wanted it to be reversible.
They didn’t make those because the leather would last a lot longer than the metal buckle with the moving parts, and they make things designed to last for decades.
It seemed like a challenge so I designed a reversible belt buckle that has no moving parts at all, and I want to make a physical one to test.
SketchUp is perfect for that, as well as all the other complex and wonderful things it can do.
